Mother’s Day Gifts from Barnabrow House

Mother’s Day has always been the busiest day of our year – the table in the restaurant is  faithfully booked weeks in advance as daughters, sons, and husbands take this day to honour the woman they love,  and to whom they are so very grateful.  Frequently we have had four generations seated at the same table.   No mother has ever had the slightest objection to being wined and dined for a change – in fact they completely relish it and appreciate the break.  This year your Mother’s Day gift is going to be ever more important.

Sadly this year there will be a hollow rattling sound in the restaurant at Barnabrow House as we will be forced to remain closed as a result of Covid 19.  As we start to tick off the anniversaries of Covid steadily encroaching on us – we feel ever more cheated of our joie-de-vie .   Do not despair – necessity has become the mother of invention for all restaurateurs and our  Afternoon Tea Boxes are filled with delicious morsels  – stuffed buttery brioche, creamy scones and  mouth-watering cakes.  These will, we assure you , be appreciated by all mothers and make for another Covid memory to chronicle.
